Product Review: MonieSquared SkinCare

Happy early Valentine's Day my loves!  Social media allows you to come across all types of people and products!  Just a few weeks ago, I started following a young lady on INSTAGRAM by the name of Monie_SKIN_CARE. I initially followed her from a picture she posted and her skin was GORGEOUS!  The more I scrolled her timeline and read her captions, I discovered that Monie is a female small business owner making beauty and skin care products.  Of course the products junkie was ignited and excited!  So I went to her website listed in the bio of her IG account: moniesquared.bigcartel  The site is well organized and shows several of the products this diva creates!  She carries everything from butter bars, to homemade body scrubs!

Needless to say, I placed an order.  I chose the following products:  Super Shea butter Soap bar ($3.00), Coco Shea Shower Cream in the scent: Creamy Coconut treat ($8.00), and the Exfoliating Lip Scrub in the scent: Tahitian Vanilla Sugar ($1.50).  My Subtotal was $12.50 with a shipping charge of $6.45, giving me a grand total of $18.95.  Not too shabby for 3 handmade products with shipping if you ask me!  As you all can see, there is a fourth item in the picture.  It was a little surprise for me.  It was a piece of one of her handcrafted soaps, but I am not sure as to which one.  

Here they are!  

The Coco Shea Shower Cream in the scent Creamy Coconut Treat is AHHHHHMAZING!  This shower cream is rich and leaves your skin soft and supple.  I have used it now for abut 3 weeks and it is my favorite product from my purchase!  It smells divine!  It has hints of coconut.  It reminds me of a pina colada, but mixed with fresh flowers!  There is not alot of lather to this cream, but trust me, its doing its job!  I use it after I cleanse with my regular soap.  I apply it with a sponge.  Its does not leave your skin feeling stripped, nor a film in the bottom of your tub! 

This is the Exfoliating Lip scrub.  This product works extremely well for those suffering from chapped lips like myself.  Her website indicates this product contains: sugar cane, coconut oil, and jojoba oil!  It made my lips smooth and they tasted DELISH!   I purchased the scrub in Tahitian Vanilla.  It also comes in Mango, Bubblegum, and Acai Blackberry! And let's be honest, where are you going to find a lip scrub with these great ingredients for $1.50!!!!!!

The last product I purchased was the Super Shea Butter Soap Bar.  I have used this product as an addition to my morning face routine, and to moisturize my cuticles before a "Nail-tini"! It does not come in various scents.

Face routine: Use this soap on entire face to cleanse and seal in the moisturizer during these harsh winter months.  

Nail Routine:  After removing my polish and filing my nails.  I remove a small piece of the bar and wash my hands and cuticles with it!

 Shipping for this order was standard.  I placed my order on Jan. 21^st, and received it by the 27^th (I believe).   My products came in a brown mailing envelope with bubble wrap in the inside.  However, my products were not bubble wrapped, or sealed.  This lead to my Shower cream spilling in the package, over the other products , and onto my invoice.  Yet, I wasn’t too upset.  This has happened in other packages from other companies that I have ordered from, so I knew what the issue was.  I would however, suggest that she seal each product next time with shipping tape, and that each product include "how to use" on the package labeling.  

Overall, MonieSquared SkinCare is an amazing company, with a great owner, and wonderful products!   I was pleased with each of the products I purchased, and would repurchase each one again!
